The indie hit The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzler that has dazzled gamers with its clever puzzles and interesting story and setting. The core game has been announced to be coming to the PS4 sometime this year, but the new DLC Road to Gehenna has just been released on Steam to further acclaim.
Road to Gehenna is split up into four episodes that follow the story of Uriel, the messenger of the mysterious Elohim. Uriel explores a mysterious hidden part of the simulation in order to “free the souls of the damned at all costs”. Each episode will have its own set of challenging puzzles and Uriel’s story is the product of the original writers of The Talos Principle, Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes.
The Talos Principle was a complicated but rewarding game, so many fans are understandably thrilled to see that its world is being expanded. To sweeten the deal, the DLC is currently available on Steam and will be discounted by 10%, so $13.49 instead of $15, until July 30th.
Besides added puzzles and world to explore, Road to Gehenna will include new characters and feature a completely new society with its own unique history and philosophy. With perks like this and a small discount available for about another week, maybe its time to take another journey into a new side of The Talos Principle.
