In Unbox, the entire game consists of controlling a rolling cardboard box. Doesn’t that sound terrible so far? Like one of these rolling marble games that come out every week, only worse? Well perhaps just to prove that anything can be turned into a fulfilling gaming experience, Prospect Games has done just that with the simple starting point of a game about tumbling postal packages.
Ok, well where to begin? Unbox has so many features it’s going take some serious typing to get them all out. You’re going to find multiple big worlds to explore: islands; mountains; oil rigs.
Complete challenges presented by NPCs. Find Easter Eggs. Cause physical chaos and destruction with explosives.
Play 4 player versus and destroy each other with mines, fireworks and black holes. Compete on race courses.
Customize your box with colors, faces, hats, shades and square clothing. Planned release is May 2016, which is surprising considering how complete the game is looking. I can only assume there’s going to be many more items and worlds to explore upon final release.
